Thermostat Checks

• Room Temperature (setting temperature)
• Tighten terminal connections
• Clean and calibrate thermostat
• Indoor wet bulbs temperatures
• Ensure blower balance rotation, check bearings and lubrication
• Ensure blower housing mounts and fasteners are tight
• Filter size
• Inspect wiring and connections (inside/outside)
• Examine contactor, capacitors and other controls
• Ensure evaporator coil is clean
• Ensure condensate drain is clean
• Inspect and clean condenser coil
• Inspect condenser for motor and blades
• Record suction and discharge pressure
• Record fan motor and compressor amps
• Outdoor dry bulb temperature
• Ensure operation of reversing valve (heat pump)
• Inspect defrost controls (heat pump)

• Ensure safety lock out is operable 
• Inspect limit safety
• Check for proper air flow and inspect duct work
• Inspect draft blower
• Inspect draft pressure switch and connections
• Check amp draw on elements
• Check for proper air flow
